BRUTAL - Paws of Fury
SNES

Release year: 1994
Developer: Gametek
Platform: Super Nintendo Entertainment System
Characters: 8
Backgrounds: 9
Graphics - Better than the Genesis and Amiga versions,
but a little smaller than the PC Brutal.
The backgrounds are 9 from the PC version and Unleashed 32X, very colorful and detailed.
The characters look like they are bigger than in the other platforms, but, in fact, the
screen size is smaller (the SNES resolution).
If you liked the adrenaline of the other versions... I'm sorry, this is the slowest one.
Even on Turbo speed, the game looks like slow motion compared to the other ones. This is
good only if you are more of a tactical player than a button masher.
Sound - The music is excellent. A nice original
soundtrack, very "japanesy". Also, the sound FX are not the monotonous sampled
groans we all know, they are different.
Along with the Sega CD and Amiga versions, the best sound of the Brutal games.
Control - The game is slower, you have to make all your moves slower. The special moves don't come out if you are used to do them quickly. Anyway, the controls respond accurately.
Overall - Nice colors, a little less details, tactical gameplay (well... slow motion), a nice different version of the furry game we all love.
Unique - The beautiful soundtrack and sound FX.
