Phoenix glances back and sees the mutants MewTwo and Ivan behind him. MewTwo must have intercepted the radio transmission signal. The pokemon clone can even pick up the weakest radio signals. Paul plunges into the water hoping to escape while he still can.

Even as he did so the clone warrior lashes out with his 3-fingered hands sending out energy bolts of blue-white lightning that slam into the street fighter's body causing Paul to scream & cry in agony as pain sears through him like a wildfire out of control!!! He then collapses facefirst into the shallow water unconscious.

Laughing they hoist the lifeless form of Phoenix and carry him into their secret base. Back in the submercible Julia Chang is still worried. When Paul still fails to return or show up she knows something awful must have happened to him.

I hope nothing happens to Paul before I can rescue him in time. Where on earth is Sarah Bryant? She should be here by now, helping us.

Should she attempt a rescue on her own? Or should she return to Elite headquarters for help? She's afraid to radio a mayday message knowing that the Syndicate are nearby and might listen in. Striding into the WarGames room where Rourke, Helga, Sweet, TJ, Nina, Orchid, Jago, and the other Commandos await news of her assignment. In a rush of words Julia tells them of Paul's disappearance and the evil news about Operation Black Coral.

Not so fast. A mountain fortress is impossible to storm. In short we won't stand a chance in a head-on assault. Therefore I suggest we rely on a clever plan, rather than brute force.

The Syndicate still believe the JP warriors are on their side, right? We could get in touch with Sarah and have her present herself as a friendly scout. She will say the Jurassic Park Virtua Fighters destroyed many Commando Rangers and succeeded in their quest. She will ask Archer to welcome herself, her brother and allies into their alliance. This way...the JP Gang will get behind enemy lines and when our forces arrive on station the Virtua Fighters will turn against their so-called friends, betray them and subdue-overpower them as we launch our own attack.

Your plan will take too long. It makes me nervous. Besides we have to get Phoenix out of there quickly. Who knows what they will do to him!

But the Commander decides to try Lei's plan. He calls the Virtua Fighters to the briefing room and carefully explains the gameplays to them. He hopes they understood everything he told them.
