Fire In The Sky Part 5
Unfortunately for the Rangers
they fail to notice Laserbeak watching from above. The machine parrot is
shocked-startled to see that the Commandos, the ones Ninjara had asassinated are
ALIVE! He radios an SOS to his master who receives the incoming message
and looks suprised at the news. Then he whirls and throws an energon cube
he was playing with which hits the lady fox squarely in the head. Stunned
by the blow she turns to confront her master.
NINJARA
What on earth did you do
that for?
ARCHER
You disgust me. You
failed to terminate the Elite.
NINJARA
What do you mean I
failed? Of course I killed them when Draco refused to obey my instructions
so I punished her for disobeying direct orders and then carried out the
asassination of the Commandos.
ARCHER
Really? <Arched eyebrows,
frowns> Well, Laserbeak has informed me they are still functional. So
how do you explain they are dead and then come back to life.
For a moment, or two,
or three...Ninjara ponders what Archer said to her and then it hits her with
startling realization! She had been tricked-fooled by one of the
TombRaider's magic tricks into making her believe that the Rangers were dead
when in reality they were pretending-faking their death-scene until she was gone
and when the coast was clear Lara removed the hologram illusion of the dead
Elite so they could try and save the life of Draco.
NINJARA
Lara Croft's holograms, THEY
TRICKED ME!
ARCHER
But we shall not be fooled a
second time. Mutants, prepare to attack!
Swooping out of their
fortress the Syndicate morph to jet planes and after circling the perimeter of
the hideout spot the enemy and attack!
NINJARA
Rangers below, fire at
will!
Foxy, Kenny, Rhei,
Leon, She-Lion & Ninjara dive down and blast away with bombs, missiles &
laserbullets at the Rangers who scatter for cover. All except Dr. Sweet
who tries to drag Draco to safety.
JOSHUA SWEET
C'mon man, get up. I
won't leave you. <He is shot off his feet and falls>
Although the Commandos
try shooting down the attacking planes it appears the mutants are easily
avoiding the return fire. That is until Rourke decides to even the
score...take out the trash so to speak.
LYLE ROURKE
Time for reinforcements.
<Morphs to 18-Wheeler mode>
Then he backs up, opens
his trailer doors and positions AAA battery guns into range and opens up, lets
rip with the Anti-Aircraft-Artillery. Explosions go off around the jets as
they swerve & dodge the deadly salvo but then one of the mutants is hit by
several rounds and bursts into flames.
KENDO COYOTE
Stabalizers
hit!
NINJARA
Can you pull
out?
KENDO COYOTE
Negative! Mayday,
mayday, I'm going down!
FOXY ROXY
Noooooo!
<Panics>
Suddenly Kenny collides
with Roxy and both jets out of control plunge nosefirst into the icy
waters. Rhei Rat, Prince Leon & She-Lion also take a severe beating
themselves by the AAA fire and crash & burn too. Rourke morphs back to
humanoid form and shouts instructions to his soldiers to cover each other and
watch out when Archer attempts to hit him from his blindspot.
LYLE ROURKE
Not close enough Archer.
<Whirls on him>
But instead of firing
his pulse laser pistol the Commander siezes a frozen piece of ice and wielding
it like a sword swings the makeshift weapon at the gorgonyte striking his
shoulder-wrist cannon knocking it off his body, disabling the gun.
ARCHER <Rubs shoulder & wrist from
stinging blow>
Interesting choice of
weapons Rourke, but two can play that game.
He grabs his own
ice-sword and the two begin dueling like Peter Pan VS Captain Hook! At one
point Archer spinkicks Rourke flat on his backside and leaps in to stab him
through the heart but Lyle is ready! Spinning his ice-sword like a
rotorblade he catches the flying gorgonyte warrior and flips him over his head
and onto the ground. Then backrolls onto his feet and readies himself for
more. But Archer on his hands & knees stares at his broken weapon then
up at Rourke.
ARCHER
Well done Commander.
But a pity you...LOST!
Lyle does not
understand what he means until he hears footsteps behind him and looks over his
shoulder to see Draco standing there watching the whole fight scene
curiously. Archer calls to the dragon to carry out his orders to the
letter.
ARCHER
Draco, destroy Lyle
Rourke. Crush him and all the Rangers once and for all.
However the dragon
narrows her eyes & glares at the mutant leader and growls deep inside her
body, smoke wafting from her nose. Never again will she be told to kill
innocent life-forms again.
DRACO
I take no more orders from
you! <She rips off the Syndicate symbol and cast it away> I am a Commando
Ranger now! <Slaps Elite symbol onto her chest>
Shocked by this
betrayal Archer backs up but has nowhere to run as the dragon siezes him with
her tail! She lifts him screaming into the air in front of her leering
face & bared teeth. Then she catapaults him, throws him through the
air like a football or basketball to crash onto the ice unconscious. Ivan,
MewTwo, Rhei Rat, SheLion, Leon, Kenny & Foxy rush to defend their leader's
honor only to be swatted away by Draco's tail, her claws, and wings which she
whips up tornado-like winds to knock down her enemy. Suddenly laserbullets
rip the ground around her feet and she looks up to see Ninjara strafing her from
above. Ducking her head the dragon misses the shots and the jet passes
overhead.
NINJARA
You're through
Draco!
DRACO
You forget Ninjara, I can
morph too! <She changes into Soviet Gunship copter> Time to even the
score...friend! <Goes in pursuit>
ASH KETCHUM
Kick her in the tail
Draco!
MRS. KETCHUM
Take her
apart!
Ninjara searches for
her so-called bodyguard to teach her a lesson she will never forget about
betraying the Empire.
NINJARA
Where are you traitor?
Show yourself!
DRACO
Here I am, come and get
me.
Both aircraft hurtle
towards each other in a deadly aireal game of CHICKEN!
NINJARA
You shall pay for your
treachery.
CHIP HAZARD
They're gonna
crash!
But at the last second
before the midair collision occurs the Hind (Another name for Russian gunship)
banks sharply to one side and its spinning rotorblades shear into the fuselage
of the F-16 Falcon. Shrieking, screaming in pain the samauri falls
helplessly into the ground and skids out of control until slamming into a
snowbank to the cheers of the Rangers before they notice something wrong with
their new ally who seems to be struggling to maintain airspeed &
altitude.

ASH KETCHUM
She's trying to
land.
DRACO <In pain>
Ugh,
just...one...last...blast!
Suddenly she releases
two missiles that flash away and detonate against a glacier that erupts into an
avalanche! The Hind hits the ground and slides to a stop directly into the
path of the snowslide that buries the aircraft completely from view as the
horrified Rangers look on.
ASH KETCHUM
Draco, NOOOOOO! <Runs
towards the danger>
But it's too
late. Now the Elite stand over the spot where the mutant dragon lay down
her life to protect others from harm. Ash is crying, sniffling tears as
his mother comforts him. Rourke too assures him that all is not in
vain.
LYLE ROURKE
She risked everything to
save us and the Earth.
ORCHID
The energy drain has been
stopped.
PAUL PHOENIX
The Earth will heat up
again.
EDDY GORDO
And the Syndicate is
defeated again.
ASH KETCHUM
But Draco is, is
gone.
LYLE ROURKE
She won't be forgotten Ash,
she will live forever. So long as freedom exists. <Makes a vow> We
shall remember you Draco.
ALL RANGERS
WE SHALL REMEMBER YOU
