But as the Elite enter the cave
and start looking around they notice something wierd or funny. There is no
spacebridge transportation system anywhere.

Is this some kind of joke?

Suddenly loud laserfire
shatters the calm followed by explosion or rumbling of falling rocks.
Spinning around the Commandos discover the entrance to the cave has been sealed
off by boulders! Someone or somebody has blocked off the entrance and
exit.
T.J. COMBO
So we were expected here
after all.
ARCHER
And I insist that you
stay...FOREVER!
Rising up like ghosts
or phantoms the mutants begin blasting away at the Commandos who return fire and
the wargames begin. During the fight Phoenix attempting to find cover
trips over his feet or sprains his ankles and topples flat onto his face.
Leering down at the fallen street fighter Ninjara gets ready to finish him off
with one shot, one kill.
NINJARA
Say your prayers
soldier.
HELGA SINCLAIR
Stand back Paul, it's my
turn at bat.
The 2nd in command to
Rourke grabs a stalagmite and hefts it like a baseball bat or golf club.
As Ninjara shoots laserbolts at them both Sinclair swings her makeshift weapon
and contacts the bolt sending it flying back in the direction of the frightened
vixen who screams in alarm and ducks for cover.
HELGA SINCLAIR
Fore!
NINJARA
Aaaaaaaah!
The rebounding
projectile strikes a nearby wall and explodes. Both Helga & Paul whoop
with glee. MewTwo decides to unleash his own assault.
MEWTWO
Laserbeak
transform.
The terminator parrot
zooms into the sky and flashes laserbolts from his gun turrets and eye
sensors. At the same time Lei Wulong retaliates.
LEI WULONG
This one will ground you for
good Laserbeak! <Shoots electrified net>
The glowing net
captures the T-800 who falls screeching to the ground. Angered the pokemon
clone prepares to eject his other mechanical pet.
MEWTWO
Ravage...
T.J. COMBO
Oh no you don't, not this
time! <Jumps the mutant>
ARCHER
This time I'll shoot more
than your backside.
LYLE ROURKE
TJ look
out!
Lyle throws himself
atop Combo and shields him from the gorgonyte's cannon blast that narrowly
misses both.
T.J. COMBO
Thanks for helping me
sir.
LYLE ROURKE
Don't mention
it.
ARCHER
Now to finish you
both.
ORCHID <Shouts at him>
Not so fast Archer! <Then
she is dropped from behind by Roxy>
LYLE ROURKE
My foot, it's
caught.
His ankles are pinned
beneath some rock formations and he's having trouble getting free as Combo tries
helping. Archer sneers at their predicament and offers a helping hand so
to speak.
ARCHER
Yes, making it easy to cut
you down to size.
He throws a boomerang
with deadly blades on both ends that whirls through the air towards the
heroes. At the last second Rourke & TJ duck clear as the disc slices
through the rocks freeing the Commander's legs. Unfortunately too much
dust is kicked up in the process and Archer cannot see his targets.
ARCHER
Rourke! Where are you?
<Gropes through the dust>
LYLE ROURKE
Right behind you Archer.
<Draws a bead on him> Surrender, you've lost.
ARCHER
Never. <Takes aim
back>
MRS. KETCHUM
Lyle look out! <Warns
him>
At the same time Mrs.
Ketchum's cries distract Archer from shooting Rourke, causing him to miss
hitting the leader of the Elite another distraction comes in the form of Dahli
Llama attempting to radio his student.
DAHLI LLAMA
Dahli calling lord
Archer. Respond immediately.
ARCHER <Annoyed,
irritated>
Not now master, not
now!
DAHLI LLAMA <Frantic>
My apprentice! The
spacebridge is about to open.
Sure enough the gateway
is cycling up again to full power, the doors ready to open and receive the next
shipment. Once more the shamen radios the SOS.
DAHLI LLAMA
Repeat, the spacebridge is
about to open!
ARCHER
Excellent, we'll be there
master.
Quickly he runs to the
sealed-off mouth of the cave ready to make his exit.
ARCHER
Ninjara, blast us out of
here.
NINJARA <Suprised>
Ninjara, retreat?
Never!
ARCHER
Do as I
command!
So the samauri fires a
deadly burst of her pulse smart gun that blows open the entrance and the
gorgonyte steps outside gesturing urgently.
ARCHER
Syndicate follow me!
Take off for the riverbed. <His goons fly away>
NINJARA
The Elite will follow us and
learn the location of our spacebridge.
ARCHER
No Commando will leave this
cave alive.
Morphing to gun mode
the lady fox aims carefully and fires another blast at the entrance starting
another avalanche that again seals off the tunnel's mouth. Archer changes
back to true form to survey his handywork.
ARCHER
That's the end of Rourke and
the Elite.
NINJARA
A perfect job well done if I
do say so myself.
Laughing they take to
the air and not look back. Now what will become of the
Commandos???
