Transport To Oblivion Part 3
Ash & Paul are now hostages
to the Empire and about to embark on a dangerous mission against their
wills. Archer insists they help deliver the cargo through the gateway or
die trying.
ARCHER
Load the hostages. <Ash
& Paul are strapped into the sled> You should be proud.
NINJARA <Closes canopy>
Yes, you will go down in
Alpha Prime history.
ARCHER
Whether or not you
sucessfully make it over the spacebridge. <Speaks into comlink> Archer
calling Alpha Prime, come in my master.
PAUL PHOENIX
How do we get out of this
mess?
ASH KETCHUM
By our good
luck.
PAUL PHOENIX
I didn't know terrans
believed in luck.
ARCHER
Prepare for test run
#2.
PAUL PHOENIX
I'm sorry Ash...it looks
like we've run out of time.
ASH KETCHUM
So has Archer, look! <He
points out windshield>
PICKACHU <Reacts in
alarm>
Piccaaa!
The doorway to the dome
closes shut before the sled can be engaged to travel into the portal.
Alarmed the gorgonyte calls off the test.
ARCHER
Test run #2
abort!
Once again the storm
effects start up again with howling winds, darkening skies, booming thunder,
flashing lightning. Again the laser beam rises into the BLACK VOID and
vanishes from sight. Back on Alpha Prime Dahli Llama watches the doorway
open to again reveal NOTHING INSIDE! Again his apprentice radios in with a
request.
ARCHER
When can the bridge be
reopened?
DAHLI LLAMA
Within another 60 minutes or
1 hour.
ARCHER
Another 60 mins? This
is intollerable!
ASH KETCHUM
I wish our luck would
change.
PAUL PHOENIX
Change? That's
it.
Morphing to his monster
truck form the street fighter smashes through the glass canopy freeing both
himself and Ketchum. They start running for freedom.
ASH KETCHUM
We're
free!
PICKACHU
Yaaaaaaaay! <Runs after
his master>
NINJARA
They're
escaping!
ROBOTNICK
Ravage eject, operation
capture.
Releasing the
Terminator wolf the mad doctor instructs his mechanical pet to pursue the
escaping hostages. Ash trying to escape trips and falls flat on his face
then as Phoenix spins around and races back to rescue him Ravage blocks his path
growling fiercely. Ketchum shouts to the monster truck.
ASH KETCHUM
Don't worry about me Paul,
wheel out!
Phoenix starts racing
away then stops to look back again. Again Ketchum orders him to leave, get
help from his friends.
ASH KETCHUM
GO! <Waves
frantically>
ARCHER
Destroy the Commando!
<Begins firing his cannon>
Phoenix is now being
chased by Ninjara, Randall & MewTwo in jet modes as the 3 mutants divebomb
the fleeing monster truck trying to strike it down but Phoenix takes evasive
manuvers weaving back and forth making a moving target, impossible for the enemy
to hit. He ducks into a nearby cave for hiding and waits until the planes
zoom overhead firing their laser guns but cannot locate their prey and dissapear
or so Phoenix believes.
PAUL PHOENIX
I hope Ash is Ok but I
should not have left him alone. <Morphs to humanoid form> Maybe there's
another way out of here.
Looking up he notices
an opening at the ceiling of the cavern and starts climbing his way to the
top.
PAUL PHOENIX
Looks big enough. <Then
his head emerges into the clear> Uh-oh...
Sneering down at him
are Randall, MewTwo and Ninjara with their pulse guns leveled in his
face.
NINJARA
My magic will keep you quiet
awhile. <She lets him have it>
The vixen scores a
direct hit striking Phoenix in the face who cries out in shock then topples onto
his backside. It is then that Archer steps forwards.
ARCHER
Good work
samauri.
MEWTWO
Lord
Archer.
NINJARA <Glares, arms
folded>
What are you doing
here? I told you I could deal with this Commando myself.
ARCHER
You are not to be trusted
Ninjara, now get out of my way! <Knocks her aside>
Kneeling over the prone
figure the gorgonyte mind-melds with Paul's brainwaves to put him under his
spell.
ARCHER
Once I've altered his
memory, he will lead the Elite to their doom.
Meanwhile back at HQ
the other Commandos and Mrs. Ketchum are worried about the failure of Ash &
Phoenix returning from their spy mission.
MRS. KETCHUM
Something's happened to my
son and Phoenix. We gotta get...<Startled by approaching engines>
Huh?
She whirls around to
see the approaching form of Gravedigger who races up and skids to a stop then
morphs to humanoid form.
MRS. KETCHUM
Paul?! Where's my
son?
PAUL PHOENIX <Frantic>
Ash was captured by the
Syndicate. They're going to send him to Alpha Prime over, over some kind
of spacebridge.
LYLE ROURKE <Curious>
A
spacebridge?
MRS. KETCHUM <Afraid>
Wait a minute! No one
is sending my boy anywhere!
LYLE ROURKE
Do not fear madame. We
shall rescue your son. <Turns to Phoenix> What is the location of this
bridge?
As Phoenix replies the
information he gives is FALSE! That's because Archer is controlling his
mind to lie, lead his friends in the wrong direction to where the gateway is
not.
PAUL PHOENIX
The
bridge?
LYLE ROURKE
Yes?
PAUL PHOENIX
The bridge is located inside
a cave, 100 miles from the main highway.
MRS. KETCHUM
And Ash, is he there
too?
PAUL PHOENIX
Yes, Ash is in the cave too,
unharmed.
LYLE ROURKE
Then there's no time to
waste. We must go to the cave and destroy this spacebridge
immediately. Roll out!
Morphing to Big Rig
form the leader of the Elite leads his troops in a daring rescue mission to save
their comrade. Unfortunately for the Commandos they were unaware that
Laserbeak was recording the entire conversation and now zooms back to Empire
headquarters beneath the ocean to which the sunken warship has been converted
into a undersea base. Returning to its master the parrot morphs back to
audiocassette form and Robotnick inserts it into his portable player then
approaches his boss.
ROBOTNICK
Laserbeak report. <Hits
PLAY button>
Rourke's voice comes
over the speakers as he orders his soldiers to rescue their doomed partner
before all is lost. The look on Archer's face is evil glee.
LYLE ROURKE
Then there's no time to
waste. We must go to the cave and destroy this spacebridge
immediately.
ARCHER
And we'll have a BIG SUPRISE
waiting for them when they arrive.
Within seconds the
convoy stands before the entrance leading into the cave.
LYLE ROURKE
Strange, no guards.
Paul, are you certain this is the right cave?
PAUL PHOENIX
The spacebridge is
inside.
T.J. COMBO
Paul is never wrong
sir.
LYLE ROURKE
Very well, Commandos
transform. <Everybody morphs> And move in!
