once and for all!
EPISODE I
"Battle At The Fortress Of Elite"
"Actually it is a prequel
episode to the beginning of the Civil War between the Rangers and Mutants that
takes place on another world"
Far across the star-filled
galaxy lies a desolate planet called Alpha Prime. Alpha Prime is home to
the most powerful aliens in the universe...the Commando Elite! Hidden in
remote mountains on the planet is the Fortress of Elite and their leader Lyle
Rourke. His motto: "Any Mission, Any Time, Any Place" is the code by which
all of the Elite forces live by. The location of the Fortress of Elite has
never been discovered by the enemies of Rourke but that dosen't mean Lyle can
let his guard down. One day, Rourke and his right-hand-man Nina Williams
were hard at work repairing a key defensive portion of the base. Rourke
called out to a black soldier wearing an eyepatch over one eye and dressed in
red-white-blue stars & stripes t-shirt, green pants and black
boots.
LYLE ROURKE
Hand me that mecha-wrench
T.J. We got to fix this drawbridge. We wouldn't want Archer and his
goons to just march right in uninvited and unannounced.
T.J. Combo picked up the tool as
he tried covering up or explaining.
T.J. COMBO
Sorry I didn't fix this
sooner boss, but I was out helping Helga scout for signs of the Syndicate
preparing for another assault.
Lyle just chuckled as
he knew his bodyguard was trying to get himself off the hook so to speak and not
be blamed for something he did not do.
LYLE ROURKE
Excuses, excuses. Say
Lara, can you fly up there and fix that hinge?
The female
archaeologist & martial artist acknowledged the request.
LARA CROFT
Sure thing sir. We
should have this drawbridge fixed in no time pronto.
But while Rourke was
busily fixing his fortress others were planning how to destroy it. Archer
the evil leader of the Syndicate Empire greeted Ninjara, his bodyguard
samauri.
ARCHER
Well Ninjara, what did you
find on your spy mission?
NINJARA
You will be pleased
master. I have found the Fortress of Elite. I followed two of Lyle
Rourke's helpers right to it without them noticing my
presence.
ARCHER
Excellent Ninjara! My
master Dahli Llama will be happy to hear this news. Now we can destroy
Rourke and the Commandos and blast their fortress to
smitherines!
Archer slammed one fist
into the palm of his other hand to emphathize his words or point across.
Ninjara gets all excited!
NINJARA
Let us attack
immediately!
ARCHER
Not so fast stupid. We
must plan our attacks carefully in advance.
Rourke and his troops
were still repairing their broken drawbridge when their communicators crackled
to life.
UNKNOWN VOICE
Mayday, mayday. Come
in Elite!
Helga Sinclair the 2nd
in Command to Rourke rushed to the console and activated the terminal to receive
the incoming message.
HELGA
The transmission is coming
from the city of Archeron, the colony homebase LV-426 Commander, I'll have
visual in a second.
It was William Guile,
twin brother of Rourke "Street Fighter videogames, cartoon series
& movie" and former member of the Elite.
GUILE
Lyle! You and the
Elite have got to hurry. The colony is under attack
again!
ROURKE
We can't waste a minute!
<Runs to the door> LV-426's defenses are still weak by the last attack by
the Syndicate. T.J. since you didn't fix the drawbridge when you were
supposed to, you stay behind to hold down the fort. We'll take care of
Archer and his horde.
T.J. COMBO
Yo! It's under control
boss, just save that city. <Salutes him>
Moments after the Commandos
rushed out of the fortress, Combo stepped up to the control
station.
T.J. COMBO
Now that's wierd, man.
The defense modes are online but what's this funny buzz?
Suddenly, the
wall began to shake & rumble as though the entire complex was caught by
a powerful quake. Then a huge explosion blasted a huge hole from the
outside and in poured Archer and his gang. The gorgonyte leader aimed his
shoulder-wrist laser cannon.
ARCHER
Stand back T.J., the
fortress is ours. You cannot defeat our combined might.
T.J. COMBO
We'll see about that
Archer. It's meltdown time! <Aims his pulse gun>
But just as Combo
took aim...the evil mutants shot a combined laserblast at the lone Commando
enforcer. The shot stung T.J. who screamed in pain
and went flying backwards through the air to crash onto the floor and sprawled
against the far wall in a corner. Archer laughed
evilly.
ARCHER
Hmhmhmahaha! That will
keep him quiet for awhile. Now we can plan our ultimate
triumph.
Meanwhile Rourke and
the other Rangers were approaching the colony base of Archeron. Lara
Croft whirred out of the APC "Armored Personnel Carrier"
LARA CROFT
I'll fly ahead and scout the
situation sir! <Then she returns> I can only see one enemy mutant.
It's MewTwo, the bodyguard to Archer.
ROURKE
Hmm, only one attacking
mutant? <Curious> We'd better be careful, this could be a trap or
ambush.
Rourke and the Elite
swept into the city. As Helga stopped the APC, Lyle spotted
MewTwo.
ROURKE
He's firing his lasers at
those defenseless colonists. He's not going to get away with this...Come
on Rangers!
But MewTwo spotted
them. He sent a stinging blast ripping at the soldiers.
MEWTWO
You can't take me alive
Rourke!
The Commandos
pulled up and returned fire. Realizing he was outnumbered, MewTwo flew
away from the city.
MEWTWO
Hahahaha, so long losers!
<Mocks them> Asta-la-vista, baby.
As the Elite drove back
to their fortress Lyle was deep in thought.
ROURKE
Something funny's going on
here. If Archer sent one mutant to attack LV-426 he must have another more
sinister plan.
Lyle pointed to the
Fortress of Elite as it loomed on the horizon.
ROURKE
Helga, get a clearence from
Combo before we get closer.
HELGA <Tries
contacting>
I can't reach him,
something's jamming my transmission.
ROURKE <Angry>
I knew it! Archer sent
one mutant to attack Archeron knowing we would come to the aid of the colony
base. But meanwhile, he set up some kind of ambush for us here. Turn
all defenses on!
Suddenly
laserfire erupted from the fortress and screamed towards the Commandos. A
huge shot stung Helga and knocked her backwards.
HELGA
Aaaaaaugh! <Cries in pain
as she falls>
An evil sneering voice
called down from the walls...it was Archer!
ARCHER
Welcome home Lyle.
Except it's not your home anymore. Syndicate, destroy
them.
A shower of
laserbullets pelted the Elite like hail. Lyle and his soldiers returned
fire on the invaders but Archer and his horde ducked behind the
walls.
ROURKE
Cease fire, hold your
fire! We'll never defeat them this way. I have a plan, fall back and
I'll fill you in.
Seconds later Rourke
and the Elite raced towards the fortress. But Archer saw them
coming.
ARCHER
What-the? <Shocked> Oh
no, they're attacking the wall we blew through, hurry!
Archer's henchmen
abandoned their positions and raced to defend the hole, just as Rourke
planned. He turned to his troops.
ROURKE
Quick! Head for the
broken drawbridge. They'll never know what hit them!
As the evil mutants
rushed down the walls, Archer laughed madly.
ARCHER
Ahaha, those foolish
mortals. How can they hope to break through this hole when they know how
strong we are?
Ninjara peered out the
hole to look but appeared puzzled, shocked because there was no sign of the
Elite anywhere.
NINJARA
My lord? They've
dissapeared! Where could they have gone?
ARCHER
Those cowards,
boo-hoo-hoo...<Pretends to cry> Lyle Rourke and his friends have run away
with their tails between their legs.
While Archer and
his goons were celebrating their victory, Rourke and the Commandos were
loosening the broken drawbridge. Lyle worked feverously on one of the
hinges.
ROURKE
It's a good thing T.J.
didn't fix this bridge on time. Now we can break in and take the Syndicate
by suprise.
The drawbridge
collapsed with a crash! Rourke and the Commandos burst into the
complex with pulse laser guns blazing away. Archer
whirled around, shocked by the suprise move.
ARCHER
You'll never survive
Rourke!
He fired blast after
blast at Lyle with his pulse cannon but the Commander skillfully dodged the
shots aimed his way.
ROURKE
You're finished
Archer! Let's clear them out Elite!
Lara Croft the
TombRaider levitated to the ceiling and stung Ninjara
with a blast from above. Nina Williams raced over to Foxy Roxy and rocked
her back with hits from her weapons. Rourke fired his laser pistol at
Archer. As the battle raged the Elite began to drive the invaders back
towards the hole in the wall. Rourke called to his
troops.
ROURKE
Don't let up team, keep
pushing them back!
The Elite kept firing
away as Archer and his gang stumbled out the hole in full retreat. Lyle
zapped the gorgonyte leader with another hit from his pistol.
ROURKE
Your days as an evil ruler
of the galaxy are over Archer. Surrender now while you still have the
chance and I'll spare your life.
Just then, MewTwo
roared up to the fortress in the Syndicate dropship "Resembling the same
aircraft used in the ALIENS movie" Archer laid down cover-fire as his goons
rushed up the boarding ramp.
ARCHER
Quickly, we must
escape! Blast out of here.
As MewTwo fired up the
engines, Archer mocked Rourke who glared back at him, pulse gun leveled at
him.
ARCHER
You may have won this
battle, Lyle. But one battle does not win a war...Dahli Llama's Empire
will win this war!
Then with a
mighty roar of engines the dropship lifted into the skies and zoomed away into the distance. Rourke rushed
back inside to T.J. who was still sprawled in a corner of the
fortress.
ROURKE
T.J.! Are you all
right?
T.J. COMBO <Comes
around>
Wh-where am I?
<Panics> Watch out, it's an attack!
ROURKE <Calms him>
Whoa, relax Combo.
We took care of them.
T.J. COMBO <Feels
guilty>
Sir, I'm really sorry they
got in. I guess I let you all down.
ROURKE <Suprised>
Let us down? <Smirks>
T.J., you're a hero!
T.J. COMBO
M-wha? <He can't believe
it> I'm a hero sir?
ROURKE
Yes you are,
<Explains> if you had fixed that drawbridge we never would have
defeated Archer. <Looks around at battle-damage> But now we really have to
rebuild our defenses. C'mon guys & gals, let's fix up our
home.
And that is the end of the
prequel chapter leading up to Episode I...
