Graphics - They are pretty undetailed. I've seen better
graphics in some Amiga games, and the cartoony style of Brutal doesn't show the system's
true potential. The colors make it look like the Genesis version.
Some animations are very different. There are fewer frames than in other versions, and
some of them are completely different. For example, Prince Leon's crouching hard kick
(look at the third screenshot).
Sound - The sound is pretty cool. There are some tracks
directly ported from the Sega CD version, remixed with the MOD style of the Amiga. Anyway,
they become repetitive after a couple of matches.
The sound FX are ok, almost the same as other versions.
Control - Believe it or not, having only one button,
this is the most versatile of the Brutal versions.
The attack intensity is controlled by a little bar, next to your lifebar. The more you
press the button, the harder the attack. Combinig it with the directions gives you the
full range of punches and kicks.
What about the special moves? They are completely different here. They are mostly
directional combinations, and sometimes involve the button. For example, the taunt is:
Fwd, Back, Fwd, Back.
Overall - Decent sound and great playability, the graphics could have been better.
Unique - The MOD soundtrack, excellent. Some animations
are different.
And most of all, the gameplay.
